There were concept design and patents spilled out on Samsung foldable phones but the recent reports have shed more lights to Galaxy X.

Samsung will reportedly bring its foldable phone prototype to the Mobile World Congress this year. However, not all visitors can witness the revolutionary handset's dummy since it will be introduced in an exclusive partners-only event, Phone Arena reported.

This is plausible since Samsung has confirmed that no Galaxy S8 will appear on the trade show and bringing another surprise would make more sense. At the invitation-only event, Samsung could be asking for feedbacks from its business partners and tech experts to find out their response before releasing the foldable phone to the market.

It's been reported that Samsung has prepared all of the components to mass-produce the bendable device including the CPI film that will replace the cover glass.

Previously, the tech community thought that the only surprise that Samsung will bring to MWC 2017 was its Galaxy Tab S3 and the idea of a foldable phone had been a teaser-only. Now, multiple reports have hinted that the prototype is the fruition of all those patents we have seen circulating through the web.

And a few more sources claim that Galaxy X will enter production in Q4 2017. This means that Samsung's very-first foldable smartphone will arrive sometime later this year, as per report from BGR. The best guess would be a press event to introduce the product, just like the way it did with the previous flagships unveiling.

Meanwhile, the leaks on Galaxy S8 have also been flooding on the internet lately but many speculations suggest that Samsung won't unpack its premium S series flagship in the near future.
