LG G6 shows off its stunning bezel-less display as part of a premium design that deviates from its predecessor's modular look. LG's 2017 flagship phone is also expected to have Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa or even both as LG teases a "more intelligent" virtual assistant, though "less artificial."

A sneak peek to LG's next generation smartphone shows the almost non-existent bezels with a large screen and a relatively smaller body. The premium design of the G6 is far from its modular predecessor, the LG G5, which had a dismal performance in 2016.

The G6 made quite a buzz as it is expected have the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, which offers a marked improvement from G5's Snapdragon 820. However, LG has reverted back to the less powerful processor to make it in time for MWC.

Latest reports now say that the South Korean will also be ditching the LG pay mobile payment, which was its own version of Apple Pay and Samsung Pay.LG has scrapped the White Card process, which did not debut after it was unveiled. LG Pay is unique from other mobile payments because transactions will be made through a one-time password that will be stored in an integrated chip.

With less power and no mobile payment feature, the LG G6 may not even cause a tiny ripple in MWC. However, LG fans may have something to look forward to as LG released a teaser early this week revealing a virtual assistant, GSM Arena reported.

LG indicates a "less artificial" but a "more intelligent" virtual assistant. It could mean that it may be the first non-Pixel smartphone to have the Google Assistant as previously reported. Two new LG Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches are also expected to have the Google Assistant.

There are also reports that LG may have both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, which will be designed to complement each other. Alexa has a set of defined skills while the Assistant is more open and conversational, ZDNet has learned. The G6 may beat Huawei as it confirmed but did not set a timeline for Alexa to be integrated into the Mate 9.

LG may also be targeting not just consumers who go for premium features like the dual camera set-up, fingerprint scanner and the Quad HD and LCD display with 1440x2880 resolution. The phone is also marketed for audiophiles as it features the 32-bit DAC.

According to Evan Blass, LG's newest iteration will launch in South Korea on March 9. It will go stateside on April 7. In the meantime, check out the video below for a sneak peek of the LG G6.
