There is a reported "No Man's Sky" update leak, to many players' delight. Here's what the recent leaked update contains.

"No Man's Sky" leaked update

According to Daily Express, Hello Games gave their word of fresh "No Man's Sky" updates coming out in 2017 to help improve it and the latest one seems to have been leaked early. A few days following the release of the Foundation update, fans discovered plans to release ground vehicles in a future patch.

Reddit user eegandj cama across a reference to a buggy in the game's files, but originally couldn't find an actual model. After more digging, the "No Man's Sky" fan then located nods to tire textures, before finally finding a way to see what the buggy might look like in the game. Now it appears more evidence has been uncovered after dataminers stumbled on more details on how the new land vehicles will be unlocked.

According to new reports, ATV are set to be launched in "No Man's Sky", as well as an array of upgrades and weapons. Included in the package are mounted guns and vertical boosters, although fans will first have to master how to unlock the new gear. This will require some farming, building a terminal, and hiring a mechanic. It was reported that there will also be series of missions to finish to be able to gather the correct materials.

Hello Games is yet to confirm the details, as the studio's recent Foundation update was said to jump-start a plethora of new features. The new "No Man's Sky" update sets the base for more content to come, which includes foundation building, space freighters, new game modes, among others.

"No Man's Sky" recent reviews

No "Man's Sky" for PC reviews have surely improved after the release of the Foundation update. In the last 30 days, Steam reviews for "No Man's Sky" have been mixed, which is also a huge improvement on the utterly negative reviews it previously received. 

Unfortunately for Hello Games, the overall reviews are still mostly negative, although more users are playing the title. The average number of users engaging in "No Man's Sky" in the last 30 days has gone up to 2,283, compared to 774 in October.

"No Man's Sky" creator at GDC

Meanwhile, "No Man's Sky" creator Sean Murray is set to appear at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). Per Thumbsticks, there's no denying that the algorithms and formula wherein the game is built are super-impressive, even if they do occasionally fall below expectations. Will he be talking about the leaks?

No confirmation about that yet but Murray will reportedly talk about how the small development team at Hello Games created and tested a procedurally-generated - and near-infinite - universe. Attendees will be in the know of what is required to create, render, and populate their own planets, as well as an peek into the development challenges and future potential of using such techniques. The GDC will be held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, February 27 to March 3, 2017.
