What is 8-Point Battery Safety Check?

Samsung has reportedly launched a new safety check that was initially conducted to the Galaxy S8 handset. The so-called 8-Point battery safety check is a new means for the South Korean tech firm to ensure the safety meter of a smartphone.

Going back on track is a difficult task for Samsung. However, the company claims that after the Galaxy Note 7 incident, they have proven that there are lots of loyal Note customers worldwide while they were conducting the investigative process; thus, they decided to produce Galaxy Note 8 according to CNET.

In order to deliver a safer Galaxy Note 8, Samsung has level-up their battery safety check efforts by adding four new security checks. In a nutshell, the 8-point battery safety check includes the following process: durability test, visual inspection, x-ray, charge and discharge test, TVOC test, disassembling test, accelerated usage test and OCV test.

The X-ray machine is said to be the most expensive addition to the safety check tools. This machine is said to commence the checking before the shipping begins to ensure the volatility the battery and to check whether the battery is bent which a potential cause for explosion is.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Will Be Powered by Exynos Chips

Aside from the most anticipated 4K display that comes with OLED screen, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is reportedly being powered by two high-end Exynos chipset variants that have various processor clock speeds. According to some reports, the Exynos SoC version of the chipset will also be pack with a powerful GPU that provides support to Shannon 359 modem.
