The fans are patiently waiting for "Half Life" next installment simply because it deserves to have a sequel. Here's all you need to know!

No "Half Life 3" in the meantime

A recent interview with Gabe Newell suggests that Valve does not have any update on the video game but MovieNewsGuide learned that if there is any, it would be a totally different universe that even may not be called "Half Life 3".

Will Valve make a new game out of "Half Life"? The question still has no firm answer but based on Newell's statement, Valve may have other plan to release another project with similar genre.

As a reminder, Valve has revealed a new game entitled "Prey" which many sources claimed that it almost looks like a crossover between "Alien" and "Half Life 2", as reported by Forbes.

Of course, this brings an entirely new experience instead of the expected first-person shooter video game. The report might corroborate the recent speculation that Valve isn't making any sequel of "Half Life" indeed.

More clues on "Half Life 3" release date

In a separate report, Newell said that the American video game developer was still working on single player games albeit not stating further about any title or storyline but it is obvious that the question was intended to find out if Valve did ever plan on "Half Life 3".

"Half Life 3" for VR

Valve admitted that VR is the future of gaming and it is part of the company's plan to create a new gaming experience with VR games.

If ever "Half Life" installment will go to a different direction, it can be argued that a sequel for VR platforms is plausible.

As much as Valve's interested in hardware development and gaming research, the fans are also interested to find out any update on the game, up to a level of desperation.

The wait isn't over

Everything remains to be seen as of this moment and the fans are still waiting for "Half Life 3" with more futuristic elements expected.
