Director Clarifies Major "The Predator" 2017 Casting Report

According to Comic book, it has been awhile now when Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) athlete, Conor McGregor, speaks out about his supposed involvement with Shane Black new project. "The Predator" 2017 news report claim that he was offered to appear in the film's lead role.

McGregor said in an interview that he turned down the lead role in the said movie. Though this is a big gig for him, he stated several enough reasons to why he decided to let it go.

Based on Cinemablend, McGregor said "no" because the offer is not enough for him. Another thing is the location, Canada.

"...if I was to do it, [it] would mean eight weeks in Canada, in Toronto or somewhere. It's too long a time," he said.

Now Black, on the other hand, put the misunderstood claim by clarifying "The Predator" 2017 report and McGregor's claim via Twitter post. The film director and screenwriter revealed that the UFC fighter was not offered the lead role. Instead, he mentioned the name of Boyd Holbrook.

Black insisted that McGregor was indeed offered to be part of the film but not in the position of Holbrook's role.
