Google Nexus 7 has long been rumored since 2016 but still no device has been launch until now. For this matter, rumors suggest that Google might be preparing for a device that consists of the most powerful software and hardware component and is likely to kill iPad Pro 2. Google Nexus 7 Powerful Software and Hardware Combination

It has long been rumored that Nexus 7 will be powered by Andromeda OS but recent reports claim that this is not likely to be the case. The device might run Android Nougat because according to Android Authority, the Andromeda OS has been tested with Nexus 9 tablet according to Android Authority.

Nevertheless, Android Nougat software is still considered to be the best operating system as of this time. The latest beta version has brought new features to the devices such as refreshed notification bundles, longer battery life and many others.

However, the most notable feature of Android Nougat is the Google Assistant which is for available in the two Pixel phones, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel C tablet. Day Dream compatibility is also included in the latest version of Android operating system.

On the other hand, the hardware components of Nexus 7 is expected to include Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM. What's more interesting about the device is the rumored internal storage that is expandable up to 2TB according to the leaked document from the reliable tipster Evan Blass.

Google Nexus 7 is Likely not to be Rebranded to Pixel 7

Since Google has recently ventured into the new Pixel lineup, the upcoming Nexus 7 is expected to be called the Pixel 7 to boost the newly launched brand. However, according to Gigjet, since Nexus is still the most popular and known brand in the world, Google is likely to retain the brand.
