The 2017 Samsung Galaxy A3 sets to re-conquer the hearts of millions of its fans. It's a mid-range device that aims to be a flagship. Despite its good intentions of hitting some good points that consumers will love, it also misses some.

Samsung Galaxy A3 Aims to Be A Flagship Device

Samsung is still recovering from the scandal that nearly shut it down and doing so involves reintroducing updates versions of devices that consumers have positively responded to. One of these devices is the Samsung Galaxy A3. It's a waterproof smartphone with a fingerprint sensor. It's pretty advanced despite it being a mid-range phone and it aims to be a flagship device, Android Pit reported.

The Samsung A3 is very popular within the Samsung fan base. To keep the consumers happy, Samsung slated a reintroduction of its updated version. While the global release date hasn't been revealed yet, it's very clear that the Korean tech company will put it in the market very soon. So far the smartphone, along with the 2017 versions of Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 have only been released in Russia, Gizbot reported.

The Galaxy A3 has an IP68 certification, which means it's water and dust resistant. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box and it will have a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED Display and its cameras are 13MP rear and 8MP front, which supposedly makes it a good smartphone for selfie addicts. It runs on a 2,350mAh battery and comes in four different colors, which are Gold, Pink, Blue, and Black.

The design and key aspects of the Samsung Galaxy A3 device is almost identical to its predecessor. Its loudspeaker is now located at the right hand side and the battery can be charged with USB Type C interface. This shouldn't mean that consumers can expect ultra fast charging.

The 3D glass gives it a high end appearance and will give the consumers an impression that it's a device of high quality. That's also because of the glass rounded edges. But it cannot be a flagship device like the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Samsung Galaxy A3 also accommodates a microSD card. The mid-range chip is an Exynos 7870 processor, which was built on a 14nm process. It has 2GB RAM that's paired with the Mali-T830 MP2 GPU, which is very ideal only for people who do not spend too much time on their phones.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A3 only offers a 9.8GB internal memory. Overall it has huge potential and it looks to be as good as its predecessor - or maybe even better.
