The satisfying battles between Jaegers and the Kaiju will once again take center stage in "Pacific Rim 2." The sequel to Guillermo del Toro's 2013 sci-fi flick has already started filming and details from production continue pouring in.

Lead star John Boyega recently shared a concept art of the Gipsy Danger, the Jaeger highlighted in the first film. The photo posted on the actor's Instagram page showed the giant robot in black and white, and it appears to be in a docking bay prepared to clash with a Kaiju.

A helicopter is flying near the Jaeger's knee to give viewers an idea on how massive the robot is. The image may be an illustration for now, but it's enough to stoke fans' excitement for the real thing.

Boyega is portraying the son of Idris Elba's character, Stacker Pentecost, in the first movie. The "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actor is busy training for his role in "Pacific Rim 2." Last month, he tweeted a photo of himself working out to make sure that his physique complements his Jaeger pilot role.

Scott Eastwood is also onboard the sequel as Lambert, though details about his role are still being kept under wraps. This week, Eastwood shared a snapshot of himself while filming "Pacific Rim 2," also called as "Pacific Rim: Uprising," at Fox Studios Australia.

The actor, who was donning casual clothes in the behind-the-scenes picture, appears to be inside a Jaeger station in the scene. Check out the photo on Eastwood's Instagram page.

Directed by Steven S. DeKnight, "Pacific Rim: Uprising" is bowing in theaters on Feb. 23, 2018. Also starring are Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, Levi Meaden, Adria Arjona, Rahart Adams. Karan Brar, Mackenyu, Shyrley Rodriguez, Wesley Wong, Nick E. Tarabay, Ivanna Sakhno, Zhang Jin, Lily Ji, Chen Zitong, Lan Yingying and Qian Yongchen.

Charlie Hunnam is not reprising his role as Raleigh Becket in the highly anticipated sequel. The actor revealed to Yahoo that he was supposed to be heavily involved in the follow-up but declined because he was "unavailable."

He explained that Legendary (which has been acquired by China's Wanda Group) has "a very definite schedule that they have to film because of the politics and business surrounding filmmaking," and that process didn't exactly fit with Hunnam's other commitments. The actor, however, still thinks that the sequel is "very exciting" and stressed that he's okay with the studio doing "something original" for the installment.
