Playground Games has just announced a new update for its open world racing game "Forza Horizon 3" that brings the Rockstar Energy Car Pack along with some new cars. Unfortunately, the latest update did not only brings new cars to the game but also a messy, corrupted file.

Launched on 2016, "Forza Horizon 3" is an open world racing video game developed by Playground Games for Xbox One and Windows-based PCs.

Latest Update Brings Trouble To The Gamers

Forza players who completed the download of the racing game with ending in .37.2 and then started a new game save will have a corrupted saved game, according to a Forza Community Team representative.

Since the latest update hit, many players of the FH3 have reported that the latest update is corrupting their save files and in some cases corrupting the entire FH3 game. Amazingly, this serious bug is only occurring for the PC version.

The 53GB latest update, as noticed by the forum NeoGAF, is pretty big for a single update. That's because the latest update contains something not right, that instead of patching the entire game to support the newly released Rockstar Car Pack, the latest update gone nowhere and pushed an unencrypted developer build of the entire FH3 game.

For some players, the sheer size of the latest update is quite intriguing, 53 GB is no ordinary update. Some have already speculated that the update might contain the full debug version of the game, which meant for developers only not on players

Playground Games Issues Some Advice On How To Deal With Latest Bug

According to PC Gamer, the real problem for players is that those who downloaded the latest Forza Horizon update and saved the game will get a big chance of getting stuck with corrupted save files.

Fortunately, the Playground developers have made some good advice for the players on how to deal with this kind of problem.

According to the Forza developers, PC players who have the FH3 version ending with .37.2 should immediately uninstall that version of the game, then re-install. The developers said that the correct playable version of the game should end in .35.2 and not in .37.2. Details about the latest update and technical issues can be found at Forza Motorsport Forum website.

Additionally, Forza community manager Brian Ekberg also told players to avoid creating a new save game on a version with .35.2 ending and advised players to play only on a game build with .35.2 ending to avoid the corrupted issue.

Players are strongly advised to double check first the game's version number, which can be found on the game's launch screen, before driving their car in the world racing game "Forza Horizon 3."
