It all comes down to battery life in the Huawei Mate 9 vs. iPhone 7 Plus battle.

Before purchasing a smartphone, it is important to gather every bit of information about it and even comparing it with others to see which one is of greater value. In the Huawei Mate 9 vs. iPhone 7 Plus battle, there is one specification that you should take a closer look at more than others. However, it is worth noting that both smartphones offer high-end specifications and features - inside and out.

According to GSMArena, the Huawei Mate 9 has an 8-core Kirin 960 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 5.9" IPS LCD touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixel display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 20MP/12MP dual rear and 8MP front-facing cameras, fingerprint sensor, non-removable 4000 mAh Li-Po battery, and runs on Android Nougat 7.0. It was first released in December 2016.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 Plus packs a quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (expandable for up to 258GB), 5.5" IPS LCD touchscreen (backlit by LED) with 1080 x 1920 pixel display and ion-strengthened glass (oleophobic coating), 12MP dual rear and 7MP front-facing cameras, fingerprint sensor, non-removable 2900 mAh Li-Ion battery, and runs on iOS 10.0.1 (upgradeable to iOS 10.2). It was first released in September 2016.

As you can see, there is not much to compare as it usually depends on what purpose a smartphone will have in your life. Say, you are more into taking pictures. The Huawei Mate 9 has a greater camera quality. Or, you are more into downloading music and video files. The iPhone 7 Plus has a greater internal storage capacity, which can be expandable to 258GB. But as for the number of hours/days your to-be smartphone can last? You got it.

According to Phone Arena, the Huawei Mate 9 emerged as the winner in a battery test conducted against iPhone 7 Plus and even Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Google Pixel XL - with an impressive 12 hours and 14 minutes of standby time, as compared to others with almost 10 hours of standby time only. The charging time is also there to consider - in which the Mate 9 won over with 144 minutes, as compared to slow-charging iPhone 7 Plus.

Indeed, it all comes down to how long a smartphone lasts before it needs to be charged. Watch the trailer below for another battery test conducted with the Mate 9 and iPhone 7 Plus - but this time, with Huawei P9.
