NVIDIA GTX 1080 Appears to Have More Transistors than Predecessor

While NVIDIA GTX 1080 boasts its 7.2 billion transistors, NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti is equipped with 12 billion of it for a major boost to gaming system. Aside from the rumored 4.6GB of RAM, the most anticipated GPU is also expected to come with a higher bandwidth GDDRX5 RAM compared to the regular GDDR according to PC GamesN.

Accordingly, NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti is the weapon of destruction to AMD's emerging Vega 10 GPU since the latter is posing as a tough rival of the former. GTX 1080 Ti is expected to deliver powerful and quality graphics; thus, the GPU is expected to have a price tag that falls between $650 to $1200, according to MobiPicker.

NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Marks the End of Pascal Architecture

In other reports, NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti is said to be the last GPU that uses Pascal Architecture since the company will release the next architecture for GPU which will be called Volta. Since GTX 1080 Ti will mark the end of Pascal architecture, NVIDIA is expected to deliver more powerful and efficient GPU.

Volta is reportedly making an appearance during the 2018 NVIDIA Graphics Technology Conference and thus, giving birth to the speculation that GTX 1080 Ti will be released in 2017 during the Game Developer's Conference in san Francisco. Meanwhile, fans and players are hoping for the existence of GTX 1080 Ti as NVIDIA has been tight-lipped about their unreleased products.
