Get ready to help King Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum reclaim the throne and unite his people once again! "Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom" is set to be released this year for PlayStation 4, as well as Microsoft Windows.

Just last Thursday, renowned game publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment officially announced that "Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom" will soon be available this year for both PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. Further detailed on their official website, the game was created along with animator Yoshiyuki Momose and music composer Joe Hisaishi. It is worth noting that Momose previously worked at Studio Ghibli; thus is the strong references to some of its box-office animations in the "Ni No Kuni" series and now, the addition of a similar character from "Princess Mononoke" to the upcoming sequel.

"Revenant Kingdom" tells the story of a young king, Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, from Ding Dong Bell - a place where humans, cats, and humans live harmoniously; that is until he and his people were banished when a terrible coup happened in the kingdom. During his quest to build a new kingdom for his people, he is joined by his loyal friends: Roland and Tani, as well as the Higgledies - who can only be seen by someone with a pure heart. According to USgamer, the Higgledies are reminiscent to that of Kodama from "Princess Mononoke."

"Ni No Kuni" is a role-playing game series developed by Level-5 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was first released back in 2010 for Nintendo DS, with an official title of "Ni No Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn." It was then followed by three more titles between 2010 and 2012, with the second and fourth ones released for mobile devices and the third one for PlayStation 3: "Hotroit Stories," "Wrath of the White Witch," and "Daibouken Monsters."
