Nvidia has been quiet about GTX 1080 Ti although several leaks have pointed out its specifications. Indeed, it is a powerful graphics card but gamers are more excited to wait for AMD Vega 10.

Numerous online sources have reported the Ti specifications including 3,328 CUDA Cores and 10 GB GDDR5 in the memory. The card is said to receive a boost in memory storage with its 12 GB capacity.

However, Hardware Unboxed has noticed a strange thing in the memory clock. GTX 1080 Ti seems to have a slower memory clock (2,000 GHz) than the 1080 series with 2,500 GHz. The card is expected to aim at top consumers. Many have questioned the leak due to the fact that it is also slower than Titan X when it should be faster.

With that being said, the Ti version isn't anything new from AMD except that it will receive a boost in a few departments. This is one of the reasons why gamers prefer to wait a graphics card with AMD Vega 10 architecture as it is considered as a 'brand new' stuff.

AMD's upcoming card could sell for a price similar to GTX 1080 or GTX 1080 Ti. The high-end Vega 10 architecture is designed for 4K gaming, according to WccFtech.

Furthermore, AMD Vega GPU is reportedly getting 1H 2017 release after AMD revealed its roadmap to investors - although there isn't any evidence that confirms when the exact date is.

A lot of consumers want to build a new system, thus, both GTX 1080 Ti and AMD Vega card are highly anticipated sometime this year, if reports are anything to go by.

Vega architecture, according to IGN, uses 'revolutionary memory subsystem' and describes the new approach as the 'next-gen of computing engine'. This translates to a powerful card that performs superfast with lesser power - that even Raja Koduri admitted that the new GPU was what he's most excited about.
