"Steven Universe" will finally return to a weekly episode schedule starting on Feb. 10 as confirmed by Cartoon Network. Meanwhile, Stevenbomb 5's back-to-back episodes return on a double bill on Jan. 30 for more of Steven's adventures.

Cartoon Network has issued a press release last Thursday revealing that "Steven Universe" will revert back to a weekly episode airing. This comes as a big surprise to fans who have gotten used to the erratic airing of episodes.

Staring on Feb. 10, new episode of "Steven Universe" will air every Friday at 7:00 p.m. EST. There are no official details like episode titles and synopsis to go along with the announcement. Nonetheless, fans are no longer worried that the allegedly poor ratings of the show may lead to its cancellation.

"Steven Universe" Season 4 had a very erratic episode airing since last year leading fans to speculate if the show will no longer be renewed. Creator Rebecca Sugar has admitted that the erratic airing was affected by the ratings, which were not picking up from previous episodes aired in the last quarter of 2016.

Sugar then decided to skip the holidays to avoid competing in the bevy of holiday movies and TV specials. Earlier this month, Cartoon Network has announced the return of "Steven Universe" with back-to-back episodes airing in just a matter of a week.

Stevenbomb 5, which refers to the five episodes of "Steven Universe" airing on Monday, Jan. 30 starts with a double bill. Two back-to-back episodes will air on that day beginning with "Steven's Dream," which leaves a cryptic vision to Steven that prompted him to look for answers, iO9 Gizmodo has learned.

"Adventures in Light Distortion" follows right after showing Steven and the Crystal Gems on a search-and-recover mission. On Tuesday, Jan. 31, "Gem Heist" will air where the Gems will attempt to pull off a heist. On Wednesday, Feb. 1, "The Zoo" will show Steven visiting a special zoo and on Thursday, Feb. 2, "That Will Be All" will be about the daring escape of Steven and the Gems.

The speedy return of "Steven Universe" in Cartoon Network's weekly programs indicates that fans may get to see more of Steven in the coming months. As to future content, fans are hoping that Steven will get to know more about his mother's complicated background, The Geekiary reported.
