Many gamers have been anticipating the release of "Half Life 3". Although Valve has not given any updates on whether the game will really be coming out. Now, Arkane Studios' new game, "Prey" is extremely reminiscent of "Half Life". Know more about this new title and if gamers still want to see "Half Life 3".

"Half Life 3": the game does not exist in any meanigful form?

According to PC Gamer, a Valve insider said that "Half Life 3" only exists as RTS (real-time strategy) and FMV (full motion video) prototypes but not the FPS (first-person shooter) sequel that many gamers have been dreaming about. Earlier this week, it can be recalled that Valve's Gabe Newell did an Ask Me Anything on Reddit and suggested that Valve is still keen in revisiting the "Half Life" universe, even though, there are still no concrete updates on "Half Life 3".

"Half Life 3": do gamers still want to see it?

Per the source, gamers still want to see "Half Life 3". Although, it said that the game's absence seems like some sort of symbol of Valve's retreat from game development. In addition, the source said how "Half Life" cotinually had revolutionary storytelling, but never a revolutionary story. The innovative implementation of the elaborate scripted sequences is highlighted as to why people remember the game so vividly.

Ultimately, it will still be welcome with open arms, if Valve decides to release it. The only catch is, gamers are hoping it will happen really soon.

Introducing, "Prey"

According to Forbes, "Prey" seems to have an amazing trailer, which oddly reminds gamers of a cross between "Half Life 2" and "Alien". The game is perceived to be as more than a shooting game of blasting creatures in a space station. The science fiction shooter looks promising, with the inclusion of solving puzzles using a fascinating arsenal of tools.

Players will take on the role of Morgan Yu, in his journey to unravel the mysteries of the space station and his own identity. "Prey" comes out on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5.

Are you of one of the loyal "Half Life" fans waiting for "Half Life 3" or are you willing to give "Prey" a chance?
