Daisy Ridley, the British actress, who's had her fantastic breakout role in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", lands her first biopic role of a lady spy in World War II. Based on a novel, "A Woman of No Importance" hopes to be a successful film with Ridley as the star. Will this role also bring the young actress her first Oscar nomination?

Ridley Moves Out Of Star Wars Shadow To Score Oscar Nod

Daisy Ridley is sure to have her schedule full what with "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" coming out December this year. Nevertheless, she still has plenty of time to move out of the space opera's shadow and pave a solid acting path to eventually earn her Oscar nod.

Other than "A Woman of No Importance", Daisy Ridley also stars in other film projects such as "The Lost Wife", "Kolma", and "Ophelia". Other than that, she's also busy working on the Fox' film "Murder on the Orient Express," which also stars Johnny Depp and Judi Dench. Ridley recently wrapped "Peter Rabbit" and the 8th instalment to the Star wars Franchise "The Last Jedi", Variety reported.

What "A Woman of No Importance" Is All About

"A Woman of No Importance" has all the elements that propel a starlet towards superstar proportions. This serious movie is about a woman who made a difference during a men-dominated era. Moreover, it's an espionage movie of a woman with disability.

The movie is based on a book of the same title, which is written by Sonia Purnell. Ridley will be playing the role of "The Limping Lady" Virginia Hall, the American heiress who's had a misfortune of being disabled after a hunting accident, Cinema Blend reported. She wanted to take part in the war but of course, was refused and discriminated because of her gender and disability.

But she defied odds and eventually became the Special Operations Executive of the British intelligence. Moreover, she became a member to an agency that is now known as CIA. Will Ridley give it all she's got with this role?
