Good news for "Alice: Madness Returns" fans, as the title comes to Xbox One backwards compatibility. Here's why the title being available on Xbox One backwards compatibility is a great thing.

"Alice: Madness Returns": no sequel or remaster yet? no worries.
"Alice: Madness Returns" comes after American McGee's "Alice", the darker and twisted version of "Alice in Wonderland". Both these games gathered praise from fans and critics alike but had sluggish tendencies in terms of sales. Games Radar called "Alice: Madness Returns" one of the most overlooked games of the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation.

The developer originally planned a sequel to make the series into a trilogy but it never happened. Instead last news update was, McGee was waiting on the success of the animated shorts of "Alice: Otherlands" and the studio’s other games before getting back to the Alice franchise.

So what's the good thing about it having being on Xbox backwards compatibility? According to Ubergizmo, since the title is one of the various classic games previously released for the Xbox 360 and many players own the newer console now, it doesn’t make sense to dig out the older Xbox everytime you want to play the game, right?

"Alice: Madness Returns": so is it getting a sequel?
As for the series' future, McGee had a Facebook post back in April 2015 that EA has shown interest in returning to Wonderland but there needs to be a demand from the public as well. Perhaps this backwards compatibility is the first step towards that.

Get it now!

You can get "Alice: Madness Returns" in the Xbox Marketplace for $19.99 or a physical copy on Amazon, which is a little bit more expensive at around $25. Both versions will work on the Xbox One. (via MS Poweruser)
