In an effort to uphold, make aware and push for women's rights at the front yard of Trump's businesses, hundreds of Manhattan College students showed their concerned faces. Since President Donald Trump's inauguration, American citizens marched onward and participated in the Women's March in Washington. The march is a series of demonstrations for women's rights. Around the country, hundreds of marches had already occurred.

About 4.8 million marchers participated for the cause, as reported by The Quadrangle. Manhattan College students participated in the marches stationed at Dag Hammarskhold Plaza and Washington, D.C's Capitol Hill. The group's participation was organized by Samantha Roth. She holds a double major in Peace Studies and Government. She feels that it is her duty to bring the college together and march. Her vision is in line with the march's statement.

According to the Women's March's mission statement, the march is about sending a message to the government that women's rights are human rights. When Manhattan College students are marching, many know that this is a huge deal. For them it's either go big or go home.

Students from other universities and colleges also attended, as reported by New York Times. A student from Hunter College said she even marched with her sister to defend women's rights.

New Yorkers and students started their march near the Trump World Tower and even actress Whoopi Goldberg joined in. Goldberg states that this is just one of the many marches that is going to happen while President Donald Trump is in office.

Aside from women and students, children also joined the Women's March. Parents and grandparents showed their support, too. Everyone wants the march to ignite a huge discussion on women's rights. Which is why Manhattan College students and other schools took the time and energy to voice out their concerns.
