"Yakuza 0" recently dropped but don't let the title fool you, this is part of a franchise that's been around since 2005. Get to know more about this PlayStaion 4 exclusive from Sega.

"Yakuza 0": the basics
"Yakuza 0" is the prequel to the game which debuted in the PS2. As the name implies, the player's role is of a yakuza or a member of an organized Japanese crime syndicate. The game's setting is in Japan, during the late 80s. Here, the player will alternate between main characters Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, across the locales of Kamurocho and Sotenbori; two fictional districts in Tokyo and Osaka respectively. "Yakuza 0": for those new to the series
Here's how it works, you take control of the two young gangsters, one in Tokyo, the other in Osaka. The game is set in lovely little dioramas of both the city’s red light districts. One thing to note is that they are modeled in astonishing detail.

Most of playing time is spent reading or sitting through scenes, as well as running around the streets between missions. Combat is pretty much the same, though there’s been enough tampering around the edges to encourage series veterans to experiment. According to Kotaku, t’s a very old-fashioned Japanese style of brawler.

In addition, both Kiryu and Majima have their distinct styles of fighting. These differ in terms of the range and mobility, which allows the player to handle various scenarios. In some scenes, the player is allowed to do more. Do you want to throw a motorcycle on some thugs? Switch to Kiryu's Beast mode and pick up anything in the environment. If you prefer clearing out a room of gangsters with a few hits? Choose Majima's Slugger mode, which lets you do that with a baseball bat.

"Yakuza 0" Business Edition

For those who want to get more than just the game, there's the business edition.According to the PlayStation blog, the business launch edition includes the game, a stainless steel business card holder designed with Kiryu's Dragon tattoo and Majima's Hanya tattoo designs. How cool is that?
