The 2017 iteration of the well-loved laptop by bloggers is not yet confirmed by Apple thus leads to a conclusion that the Cupertino giant is heading towards killing off the Air brand. New iPad Pro Will Replace MacBook Air

When Apple released the entry level of MacBook Pro in October 2016 event, the Cupertino giant has sent a strong message about the discontinuation of the 11-inch MacBook Air and leaving out the 13-inch variant to speculations and rumors. But since the Cupertino giant is heading towards a spring event, the 13-inch MacBook Air has the highest chances of not seeing the day light anymore because of the new iPad Pro.

A tech blogger named Jack March claims that Apple will discontinue not only the MacBook Air but the whole Air brand completely. According to MacWorld, the 13-inch MacBook Air and iPad Air will be out of place with the upcoming debut of 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro which are seen to replace notebook or desktop with their high-performing specs and features.

MacBook Air Upgrades So Far

Apple has made a minor update on the 13-inch MacBook Air last 2016 leaving the users an optional RAM upgrade to 8GB onboard memory. Aside from the revamped memory, Apple has also brought faster processor, better graphics and faster flash storage to MacBook Air on the same year but, the most anticipated Retina display for the Air line did not arrive until today.
