"Gravity Rush 2" is not an easy game to play with Kat's special ability to control gravity, which sends players easily disoriented. To avoid frustrations, here are a few tips on how to play "Gravity Rush 2" and optimize the use of gravity to one's advantage.

"Gravity Rush 2" is known for its superb art design and gameplay features, but it ranked poorly in telling a cohesive narrative. Hence, players are advised to watch the anime first to be able to connect the first game to its sequel. There is a short two-part animated "overture" that will give a few tidbits, although it will still be difficult to really follow the storyline in its entirety.

"Gravity Rush 2" Tips: Do Sidequests and Missions

Players need to take time to explore and get some gems, which can be hidden in the unlikeliest places in "Gravity Rush 2." Players should not rush through the main story and complete some side quests.

Here players will find lots of talismans to help them during combat or speed up the replenishment of the gravity gauge, Digital Trends has learned. Doing side missions in the first person by pressing left on the D-Pad is helpful in spotting missing persons or matching locations to a photo.

"Gravity Rush 2" sidequests are also good venues to practice controlling Kat's gravity-defying stunts. Players should practice floating first then reorient themselves to move sideways, upside-down or straight-up.

To play "Gravity Rush 2," players need to automatically click the right thumbstick to recenter the camera. Since "Gravity Rush 2" is not your typical game, setting the mode to easy will make the game manageable since there is not much difference between easy and normal modes.

"Gravity Rush 2" General Combat Tips

Though some make use of motion controls to aim targets, Kat's gravity-shifting powers will suffice once it is unlocked. Moreover, those playing "Gravity Rush 2" using the standard DualShock controller are recommended to use the gravity slide to move fast during open-area battles.

In dealing with mobs and small enemies in "Gravity Rush 2," it is ideal to use Kat's statis-field projectiles to complement her gravity-kicking moves. This is particularly helpful for some bosses, which players should eliminate first when facing smaller enemies with larger monsters.

Perhaps the most important "Gravity Rush 2" tip is to learn how to easily switch between Lunar and Jupiter Styles, which can be unlocked midway through the game according to Kotaku. In Lunar Style, Kat's teleport kick automatically targets enemies, but this makes Kat move slower. To make Kat move fast, switch to Jupiter then back to Lunar Style once more.
