GTX 1080 Ti will dominate the high-end market this year as Nvidia reportedly gears up to launch the graphics card soon.

The Ti model is expected to be a speedy graphics card given the GDDRX5 RAM that boosts the memory speed. The processor could incur 10.8 teraflops - making it a powerful chip for 4K gaming.

Judging from the clock rate, GTX 1080 Ti's 1,503 MHz outshines the Titan albeit its lower CUDA Cores of 3,328 than the GTX 1080.

Nvidia's upcoming chip could steal the limelight and consumers who skip GTX 1080 could be expecting the Ti model - which means, they will be willing to spend more, to get more.

It is safe to argue that the California-based tech company may not be shaken with AMD's latest unveiling because those variants haven't really catered high-end users so far.

AMD Vega 10 Architecture

Meanwhile, it's been reported that AMD will unveil its advanced Vega 10 card to take on GTX 1080. AMD could also end up selling the chip at a price range of Nvidia's premium chips. However, the tech community has been skeptical about the hardware setups - whether the said high-end GPU could really outshine Nvidia's, or at least on par.

Furthermore, AMD currently focuses on its Zen - which brings to a speculation that a dual Polaris 10 would make more sense than a brand new GPU architecture.

However, a dual-GPU, should be able to distinguish the card from the rest competition, according to WccFtech. Hence, whether AMD will ever beat Nvidia in high-end segment or not - that remains to be seen.

GTX 1080 Ti Release Date

GTX 1080 Ti made no appearance at January's CES and now the possible timeframe points to a March release date. MSI booth representative unofficially confirmed that the graphics card will indeed be launched but Nvidia wasn't 'formally ready' during the CES, HotHardware reported. This gives a clear hint that GTX 1080 Ti exists and the card could be heading to PAX East event on March 10.
