A new trailer was released for upcoming game "Injustice 2" and it showed various superheroes fighting one another including Batman taking on his sidekick, Robin. The video shows where the original ended which was Batman leading a battle against the regime of Superman. The DC superheroes are torn between which side they will choose.

According to Gamespot, the trailer teases new alliances and while all of that is happening, a new threat emerges to confront the superheroes. The last two characters that were confirmed for "Injustice 2" were Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Quinn is best known as Joker's love interest while Deadshot is best known as Batman's arch nemesis.

Quinn returns from the previous game but Deadshot only appeared as a cameo character in part 1 as he was not a playable character. Both characters gained popularity when they both appeared in the movie, The Suicide Squad. It only helped matters when Harley Quinn was played by Margot Robbie and Will Smith was cast as Deadshot. Now, everyone is looking forward to seeing them in "Injustice 2."

Other playable characters in "Injustice 2" are Superman, Batman, Supergirl, Aquaman, Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus, Blue Beetle and Wonder Woman. DC villain Darkseid is only available for those who decide to preorder the game.

According to Polygon, the "Injustice 2" trailer all feature Bane, Poison Ivy, Darkseid, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman. Batman seems to have made a temporary alliance with one of his old enemies in his mission of trying to restore order following Superman's actions. Supergirl and Wonder Woman also do battle as Supergirl does not agree with what Superman is doing.

Check out this trailer of "Injustice 2", scheduled to be available for PS4 and Xbox One on May 16. The release date was confirmed by none other than game director Ed Boon on his Twitter account. Developer NetherRealm also confirmed the date but stated it only applies to residents of the United States:
