Japanese company Sony has begun rolling out Nougat 7.0 update to its Xperia Z5 devices. The update brings split-screen multitasking and an improved battery life.

The update brings additional changes to the smartphones which include Google Now integration on the homescreen, and app suggestions based on the usage and habit of the phone user. Other features include a new self-timer button to the front camera interface where users can hold the smartphone more securely when reaching for the perfect angle.

Sony also updated the battery optimization settings on Xperia Z5 devices. Three new power saving levels were also added in the Stamina mode, it claimed to automatically adjust the phone's settings whenever the user is on the move.
