The 2013 ACC Championship features a pure heavyweight in the Florida State Seminoles (1) and a true underdog in the Duke Blue Devils (20).

For the first time since Oct. 1, 2000, Florida State is ranked first in the nation, thanks to Auburn's upset last weekend of Alabama. On the other side is Duke, a surprise 10-2 team looking to overcome a team favored by four touchdowns for the ACC Championship.

Jameis Winston and the Seminoles will look to continue their dominant season. Winston, a favorite for the Heisman trophy can solidify his chances with another great game, as final ballots will be cast Monday.

With a win, the Seminoles will all but punch their ticket to the BCS National Championship game. The only uncertainty in that case is whom they would play.

Ohio State, ranked second in the nation, starts its Big Ten Championship game against Michigan State 17 minutes after the Seminoles start their game. If Ohio State were to lose, there could be as many as five teams bidding for the big game.

For Florida State, the players know that winning Saturday's contest is the first priority and their opponent should not be underestimated.

"Just as Florida State has bought into coach [Jimbo] Fisher's coaching, I think those guys have bought into their team," Seminoles safety Lamarcus Joyner said, according to the Associated Press. "You just see a group of guys that believe in each other, and when you have a belief you can do a lot of wonders... I just see a team that believes in each other and has a great coach and some smart players... They're on a roll."

With Winston, a highly regarded recruit, Florida State was ranked 11th in the preseason polls. Now, the redshirt freshman has led the second-highest scoring offense in the nation with 3,490 passing yards, 35 touchdowns in the air and just eight interceptions. Possibly the most impressive stat of all for Winston is his impeccable 68.8 percent passing completion percentage, a testament to good decision making and accuracy from the pocket.

While Florida State knows winning could secure their destiny to play for the Crystal Football, Duke is not going to roll over.

"We're not just fortunate. We're a good football team. We wouldn't be where we are if weren't good," Duke coach David Cutcliffe said. "We were a good football team a year ago. We lost some games that got away from us. I'm very excited about what's happening to this team because it's going to help our program. Our guys have believed."
