There have been all sorts of strange things found in fast food burgers. In November, it was a half-smoked blunt, Business Week reported.

The drop of weed, which 32 year-old Amy Elizabeth Sieber Wendy's worker claimed was unintentional, occurred at a Wendy's in Lovejoy, Ga., around 25 miles from Atlanta.

It's unclear whether marijuana or associated paraphernalia were ingested. The customer claimed she experienced symptoms resembling food poison, according to TMZ, but the report from Business Week said she was only alerted to the foreign object because of its cannabis-like smell. Perhaps tar, nicotine, or other blunt material leaked into the small portion she ate, and resulted in the unfavorable reaction. Or perhaps it was simply the shock of it all; she did dial 911 once she found the half-blunt.

"Obviously the employee broke the rules and did not follow proper food handling steps," said Wendy's spokesman Denny Lynch, who didn't mention the other rules, or, more accurately, laws, Sieber broke, including smoking an illegal substance, smoking it inside, and doing so while on the job.

"They have apologized to the customer and have offered to pay the medical bills," Lynch assured Wendy's fans worldwide. "Furthermore, the franchise is working on a satisfactory resolution with the customer."

That resolution entails a $50 gift card and an offer to pay for the customer's medical bills related to her feelings of food poison.

Sieber admitted the blunt was hers once police came by to question her manager, according to Business Week. She later apologized, was fired, and now faces criminal charges, according to TMZ.
