"Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments" stars tease fans of a bloodier and drama-filled season 2. Meanwhile, unintroduced fan-favorite Sebastian is rumored to arrive in the second half of the new season.

Bloody Story

Matthew Daddario, who plays Alec, and Alberto Rosende, who plays Simon, hinted to the fans that "Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments" second season will have lots of blood, People reported. 29-year-old Daddario admitted to the fans that the Freeform series will be bloody, which is also confirmed by 23-year-old Rosende. Despite being very bloody, Daddario also revealed that this new season will also be filled with touching drama.

Speaking about his on-screen romantic relationship with Harry Shum Jr's Magnus, Daddario said the series is about genuine love between two amazing people. It's difficult for the two of them to really be together, which is a story that a lot of fans can relate to, said Daddario. While Alec is really a good guy, Magnus is complex and is really old.

Daddario said the lovebirds will soon reach a honeymoon phase. Meanwhile, Rosende said he hopes his character Simon and Katherine McNamara's Clary will soon find love somewhere in the story. He said that his character is careful with what he tells Clary to make sure that their friendship remains intact.

Arrival of Sebastian

The new series, which will start airing on Monday, may soon introduce Sebastian, a fan-favorite and one of author Cassandra Clare's craziest creations. Shadowhunter's Powers That Be has confirmed that Sebastian will arrive in the story during the second half of the new series, TV Line reported.

The new executive producer of the show said that those who know the history of the new character knows that he was born and raised in hell. This means that they should cast a character who can present the duality that Valentine portrayed.
