HTC recently releasd its much anticipated U Play and U Ultra for their For U series. Although both of the handsets targets users who are at a tight budget, the two have their own commonalities and unique features that would help consumers choose which one they should pick.

Specs,Permormances and More

The HTC U Ultra is priced at $749, while the HTC U Play is priced at $440, but most consumers are going for the decked-out and more expensive model, which is also the handset that will be rolled out in the US, Phone Arena reported. Both models have the HTC Sense Companion app and AI that allow users to manage the handsets better. Both also run on Android 7.0 Nougat and only supports one nano SIM.

Meanwhile, the phone carries 64 GB worth of storage and can be expanded by microSD card of up to 2 TB worth of storage. Both smartphones hace the pocket mode, flip to mute mode, and the quiet ring on pick-up mode, Tech Times reported. Both models have the USB-C port since it doesn't hae the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Which One is for you?

The U Ultra has "ultra" in its name due to the high-resolution Quad panel, AI effective secondary ticker, Snapdragon 821 chipset, OIS tech UltraPixel camera, and a big built-in storage. Meanwhile, the U Play sports a more midrange chipset. It also as smaller 1080p display and its camera has larger pixels.

The U Play, however, has a more premium look for its mid-range price tag. Besides those notable features, both of the phablets have BSI sensors in their cameras, as well as the dual-tone LED flash and OIS.

Both cameras also have fingerprint senors, motion G sensors, gyro sensors, compass, ambient light, proximity, and magnetic sensors. Meanwhile, the sensor hub is only available for the HTC U Ultra. Consumers can now preorder the HTC U Ultra, but will have to wait for mid-March for the shipment.
