Millions of people wanted to play "Mario Kart 8," but they didn't have the chance because not all of them have the Wii U. Now, the "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" will be released for Nintendo Switch on April 28 with new additional content that its Wii U version doesn't have. However, it is confirmed that new race tracks wont be one of these new DLCs.  

No additional race tracks

Nintendo confirmed during its Nintendo Switch Experience 2017 that the "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" will have 48 race tracks, which is the same number that the game's Wii U version has, Nintendo Everything reported. One of the new additions to the Switch version is the fix on the game's biggest problem, which is its Battle Mode. Other new features in this version of the game is its new characters, new vehicles, new Smart Steering system, items from the past game, and players can carry two items at the same time.

Features optional DLC for Wii U or Switch exclusive

Nintendo didn't feature Battle levels in the new "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe," instead, players can shoot shells at their friends while racing the course in a timed mode, Digital Trends reported. Gamers find this boring since they hardly encounter enemies to throw their shots at, unlike the battle mode in the earlier "Mario Kart" games.

The new "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" added new Battle arenas and brought back a few arenas from its predecessors. One of the best things about the Battle Mode in the new "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" version is players can connect with up to four Switch consoles online or wirelessly.

Other new downloadable contents for the "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe"  are its new characters including cat suit Princess Peach, Link from "The Legend of ZSelda," Metal Mario, King Boo, Dry Bones, Tanooki Mario, Bowser Jr., King Boo, and more.
