"Final Fantasy XV" received its first DLC recently along with a rather extensive season pass. A gamer stumbled upon a glitch that allowed him to venture out of bounds in the game. The accidental discovery reportedly led to unfinished and unreleased areas of the game.

The report stated that the experience of finding the glitch was surreal, although accordingly, it was not immediately determined what the unfinished areas represented. They could only surmise that it could be part of the game that did not make the cut. It may also be a placeholder for future expansion.

The latter seems to be a more viable conclusion for in a recent interview, director Hajime Tabata announced they are working on an unannounced expansion as well as several updates for "Final Fantasy XV," according to Ubergizmo. It would seem therefore that Square Enix already has plans for an expansion, so the areas discovered are part of that expansion, though no release date has been announced for its release.

"Final Fantasy XV" DLC Event "Moogle Chocobo Carnival"

The event was unveiled in a brief video, which aired recently in Japan. "Final Fantasy XV" "Moogle Chocobo Carnival" will commence on Jan. 24, 2017, according to Dual Shockers. The video Square Enix released has been showcased on Japanese TV revealed what the event will look like.

Accordingly, the event unlocks a Choco-Mog Tee alongside a Festive Ensemble costume. The clothing will depend on what the player has either the free DLC or the one that came with the Season Pass. The player then gets access to the decorated city of Altissia, festively themed after chocobos and moogles.

A "carnival passport" that came with both the DLC's mentioned above, is required to gain access to the carnival. You may see what the event will look like in the video below.
