Microsoft is said to be developing an upgraded version of the Surface Pro 4, the Surface Pro 5. Some believe the Surface Pro 5 will be unveiled in March, but it was reported that the upcoming hybrid device will be released in the first quarter of 2017 with rechargeable Surface Pen and more.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to come along with an updated version of Windows 10. The upcoming Surface Pro 5 will be using the upgraded Skylake, the Kaby Lake processor. Wherein, the Kaby Lake is currently the latest Intel processor for laptops, according to CNET.

The Surface Pro 5 will house a powerful core i7, and the device is also said to come with a 12.5 inch 4K screen as well as a support running 3D at 60 fps. It is also expected that the tech company will replace the Super AMOLED screens to IPS touch ones.

The Surface Pro 5's stylus, which is dubbed as the Surface Pen, is said to be rechargeable along with a charging dock. This Surface Pen model seems to be based on the Apple Pen of iPad Pro.

Also, there is a renewed Surface Pen Loop, and Microsoft is also rumored to have added a USB C port to the upcoming Surface Pro 5. The Microsoft Surface Pro price varies from $899 and it can rocket up to $2000 depending on the accessories added.

Nonetheless, the Redmond, Washington based tech giant was expected to boost the battery life of Surface Pro 5. But, the promised 9 hours video playback of Surface Pro 5 was not reached when a local test was conducted, Tech Radar reported.

In spite of that, Pegatron Technology has been chosen to manufacture the upcoming flagship, Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Meanwhile, rumor has it that the computer hardware company, Quanta Computers, may also make some parts of the upcoming hybrid flagship.
