"Switched at Birth" Season 5 is just a couple of weeks away from airing on TV. Season 4 left us with a huge cliffhanger when Bay and Daphne left to pursue a career in China.

According to TV Guide, "Switched at Birth" Season 5 will also focus on the love triangle between Emmett, Travis and Bay. In Season 4, Bay went to China when she found out about Travis' true feelings for her. Despite that, Emmett is trying to win her back as he decided not to break up with her. It looks like Bay's next step in her love life is going to be a difficult one.

According to TV Line, Executive Producer Lizzy Weiss says a lot will change on "Switched at Birth" Season 5 like the Kennishes won't be as rich as they used to be, forcing Bay's mom to work at a company as a full-time employee. When the two sisters come back, most of the family members already started new relationships.

"Switched at Birth" Season 5 continues the story of two teenage girls who found out they were accidentally switched when they were born. Bay Kannish grew up with a rich family along with both parents and a brother while Daphne Vasquez, aside from losing her hearing when she was a kid, grew up with a single mother in a poor place. Tensions arise when both families meet as they struggle to live their lives the way they are used to for the sake of Katie and Vanessa.

"Switched at Birth" Season 5 stars Sean Berdy as Emmett Bledsoe, Katie Leclerc as Daphne Vasquez, Vanessa Marano as Bay Kennish, Constance Marie as Regina Vasquez, Lucas Grabeel as Tony Kennish, D.W.Moffett as John Kennish, Lea Thompson as Kathryn Kennish, Gilles Marini as Angelo Sorrento and Ryan Lane as Travis Barnes. Episode 1 of Season 5 is scheduled to air at ABC on Jan. 31, 8PM.
