This year, Panasonic added two variants of Toughpad in the Toughbook family. Check out the full review!

Panasonic Toughpads are durable

Panasonic introduced two variants of Toughpad. FZ-A2 Fully Rugged Android Tablet packs 10.1-inch display with IP65 certification. It is powered by Intel Atom processor and pairs 4GB of RAM with 32 GB internal storage. The Toughpad tablet runs Android Marshmallow and it's got 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera, Phone Arena reported.

Another tablet is the 2-in-1 device running Windows 10 Pro. It has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The tablet has excellent visibility under a bright sunlight due to its anti-reflective screen treatment.

Both Panasonic Toughpad tablets offer enterprise-level security and the keyboards come with spill-resistant feature. There is a reason why Panasonic calls it 'Tough'. It has passed the tests to ensure that the products survive in altitude, extreme temperatures, and humidity. Not only it's protected from dust and water, but it also withstands 5-feet drop.

Its 10.1-inch variant will most likely be iPad Pro 2's competitor as Apple is planning to release a 10.5-inch Pro model this year, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. And for enterprise-class, Toughpad seems to be a better buy due to the rugged features.

Functionality

The 2-in-1 Toughpad has almost the same screen size as Surface Pro 4. It makes a great alternative for 12.5-inch hybrid laptop in business sector. Panasonic Toughpad comes equip with USB Port, barcode and Smart card readers. A HDMI port is featured in the tablet in case users want to connect the tablet with external monitor.

Power and performance

Toughpad tablets have the power to match laptop performance. The Window-based and Android-based devices can run the needed apps and are portable as well. The Toughpad A2, for instance, packs 2720mAh battery. According to SlashGear, the removable battery feature is a valuable thing to consider for enterprise-grade gadget.
