Several complaints were pitched in about ZenFone Max having no VoLTE support. Now, ZenFone Max users will be delighted to know that they can avail free voice and data service offered until March 31, 2017.

The long wait is finally over as an over-the-air programming (OTA) update for the Asus Zenfone Max smartphone is now being released in India. The OTA update will come along with a few changes and improvements for the handset, according to GSM Arena.

The update for the Asus Zenfone Max smartphone arrives at version 13.8.26.80, and will finally fix an issue with the device's LTE mobile data which randomly disconnects for several Asus Zenfone Max users. It will also bring updates to a number of apps.

The said update will finally bring VoLTE support for the Asus Zenfone Max smartphone. The smartphone is now compatible with the VoLTE calling service of the LTE mobile network operator, Jio. Asus Zenfone Max smartphone users may now take advantage of the free voice and data service being offered, The Mobile Indian reported.

Nevertheless, since it's an OTA update, it might take a while for Asus Zenfone Max smartphone owners to receive a notification. But, users can check it manually by going to Settings, About Phone, then Software Update. From there, the Asus Zenfone Max owners can see if they already have the update for their device.

That being said, the Asus ZenFone Max boasts a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels, and powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor along with a 2GB of RAM. The ZenFone Max smartphone also sports a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, and a 5MP front-facing camera. In addition, the handset offers a dual SIM capability, 4G, GPS with AGPS/Glonass, GPRS/ EDGE, Micro USB 2.0., WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.
