Samsung is reportedly delaying the release of the Galaxy S8 to ensure that the device gets everything right this time. Wherein, the Galaxy S8 is the tech giant's most important release following the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Sensing an opportunity, LG Electronics appears to be beating the Samsung Galaxy S8 in hitting the market by a month with its flagship Android smartphone, LG G6.

LG is said to unveil its next-Gen flagship LG G6 smartphone on Feb. 26, a day before the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) kicks off in Barcelona. The LG G6 Android smartphone would hit the store shelves on March 10, which is less than two weeks after its unveiling.

The release date for the LG G6 smartphone might be trying to grab a portion of the back-to-school sales with the semester starting the same month. The LG G6 Android smartphone is expected to be up for grabs in other major markets by the end of March, ETNews reported.

Nonetheless, the March 10 release of the LG G6 Android smartphone is part of the tech company's multi-angle strategy to grasp an upper hand in the premium smartphone world. But, LG would ditch the modular design with the LG G6 smartphone, which means the next-Gen smartphone would look more like a conventional handset. In spite of that, the LG G6 is said to come along with a dual-camera system, as well as a fingerprint scanner on the back.

Meanwhile, LG Display (the world's largest LCD panel maker) has unveiled a new 5.7-inch LCD display with 2880×1440 resolution, wherein the new display panel would go into the LG G6 smartphone. The screen has a unique 18:9 aspect ratio. Most handsets have an aspect ratio of 16:9, which is an ideal for media consumption. LG Display claimed that it has also improved the display efficiency by 30 percent, according to The Verge.
