"Tomb Raider" fans are attempting to remake "Tomb Raider 4" in high definition and they have already taken a huge step. The reason why fans decided to bring it back to the modern age is because the last "Tomb Raider" installment came out in 1999 and it was well-received.

According to Game Rant, "Tomb Raider 4" follows Lara Croft as she travels through ancient Egyptian statues in search of rare artifacts to prevent the end of the world. The graphics and gameplay are outdated, which is why a group called "Raiding the Globe" are attempting to remake the game in high definition due to the lack of any attempts of the game creator to remaster it. They are naming the project, "Tomb Raider 4: The Last Revelation HD" which brings new effects, sharper textures and higher-quality objects to the classic game.

With the reboot of the Tomb raider series featuring a brand new Lara Croft, remaking old titles like "Tomb Raider 4" might be the right move. Despite the 2013 Tomb Raider breaking all sorts of records, fans had a hard time adjusting to the new Lara Croft as they enjoyed the old one better.

According to VG 24/7, the "Tomb Raider 4" revival project is very early in the development stage but a lot of screenshots have already surfaced online. There is currently no release date set for this remake but screenshots show that it has a sharper presentation which is fit for today's standards.

After "Tomb Raider 4", the latest instalment in the "Tomb Raider" video game series is "Rise of the Tomb Raider." Since November of 2015, it has been available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It was also released on Xbox One in November 2015 and Microsoft Windows this month. It was also released on Sony's Playstation 4 last October 2016.
