With Microsoft's Xbox Project Scorpio gaming system set to roll out later this year, game enthusiasts are hungry for information about the powerful gaming console. While Microsoft has been tight lipped regarding the details about Xbox Scorpio, the tech company has teased a few details that have video gamers excited for the gaming system's potential.

The latest tease for Xbox Project Scorpio came from the boss of the military science fiction first-person shooter game "Halo," Frank O'Connor, who shared his perspective on the Xbox Project Scorpio's abilities. O'Connor wrote on NeoGAF in response to questions from game fans, O'Connor stated that while he can't remember all the details about the specs of the gaming system, the "Halo" boss does recall the impressive power the gaming system possesses.

O'Connor stated that although he probably know what are the specs of the Xbox Project Scorpio, he might have seen it in a slide or something, it's literally not something he has time to think about now. But, O'Connor remembered that Xbox Project Scorpio is beefier than he expected.

In spite of that, there are no new "Halo games" have been announced for Microsoft's upcoming console. Nonetheless, given that the military science fiction game is one of Microsoft's biggest franchises, it can be assumed that a number of games in the series are in the works.

In fact, O'Connor stated last year that "Halo 6" is in the planning stages. O'Connor also teased that the upcoming franchise could have split-screen, Game Spot reported.

That being said, it's unclear if Microsoft's Xbox Project Scorpio will be even more powerful than the already announced specs of the console. Microsoft will likely announce more details on the Xbox Project Scorpio in the coming months, most probably during the E3 2017, which is where tech fans should be able to know more about the gaming system's specs, as well as its VR and 4K capabilities.
