OnePlus is rolling out another update to OxygenOS for both OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3. The latest version bears all the changes in the previous release, along with additional improvements and bug fixes. This update comes less than a week after the Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched the Oxygen version 4.0 with upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.

On Saturday, Jan. 7, OnePlus staff member Tony L. revealed in the official OnePlus forum that the over-the-air Oxygen OS 4.0.1 update for the OnePlus 3, as well as the OnePlus 3T had rolled out and were being pushed out. Wherein, the new OxygenOS 4.0.1 updates APN settings (only for select carriers), improves the system stability and fixes proximity sensor bug during calls.

Nevertheless, the OnePlus staff member disclosed that the OxygenOS 4.0.1 update will be available in phases, but Tony L. did not divulge the reason. In spite of that, the OnePlus representative stated that they are starting the incremental roll out of OxygenOS 4.0.1 update for the OnePlus 3 smartphone, OnePlus reported.

While the OxygenOS 4.0.1 update is bringing something new to the table, the latest update also addresses a couple of known problems in the software of the device. For instance, the bug that's prompting proximity sensor errors during calls has been extinguished. The issue with apps that are not downloading properly from the Play Store has also been singled out, according to Phone Arena.

In addition, when apps do not download from the Play Store, the OnePlus development team suggests that users should check out Google's troubleshooting steps, or users can try switching on the Battery Saving Mode and resetting the Play Store app preferences. For OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users who are complaining about downloading issues while connected to Data Roaming access, the OnePlus staff member claimed that it is a known Google issue.
