The 2017 Golden Globes have come and gone. Some were deserving of their victory while some were unceremoniously snubbed. Let us find out who were left out of the awards they definitely deserved:

The best supporting actor award in the 2017 Golden Globes went to Aaron Taylor-Johnson for his portrayal of a murderous thug in "Nocturnal Animals" according to Forbes. Everyone thought Mahershala Ali should have won it for his career-defining performance in Barry Jenkins' "Moonlight" as a drug dealer. He actually won at other award ceremonies for his performance leading up to the Golden Globes.

The best actor in a comedy/musical for the 2017 Golden Globes went to Ryan Gosling but Ryan Reynolds deserved that award for his portrayal of "Deadpool." "La La Land" definitely deserved to win the Best Picture for a Comedy/Musical but Reynolds adapted a character that was impossible to adapt and ended up carrying every single scene in the movie with irresistible charisma. He brought a lot of energy as "Deadpool" and was pretty funny.

The best supporting actress in a series, miniseries or motion picture made for TV category for the 2017 Golden Globes went to Olivia Colman for the "Night Manager" who was nowhere to be seen in the ceremony because she probably did not expect to win either. Many expected the award to go to Thandie Newton for her performance in Westworld and Mandy Moore for her performance in "This is Us."

The most surprising snub in the 2017 Golden Globes was Natalie Portman who did not take home the Best Actress for a Drama award for her role in "Jackie" according to Cinema Blend. With the award going to Isabelle Huppert, it just means the award will become even more unpredictable once Oscar season arrives.
