After Deadpool ended, it looks like the superhero will continue his relationship with Vanessa in Deadpool 2. However, that could change in a big way if future storylines would have him hook up with a boyfriend.

According to Independent, Ryan Reynolds told Variety in an interview that what love is to Deadpool may not be what love is to other superheroes. He indicates Marvel's first pansexual character could be seen with a boyfriend at some point in the future, possibly in Deadpool 2. He adds that Deadpool is in love with Vanessa not because she is a woman but because he loves her.

Deadpool, according to Movie Web, earned $783 million worldwide and got a couple of Golden Globe nominations. This means their R-rated violent superhero experiment paid off and Reynolds says he is open to having the idea of Deadpool being flirty in both sexes in Deadpool 2. However, Hollywood hasn't exactly been open to the idea of having a gay couple in a superhero movie but if anybody can break that boundary, it is definitely Deadpool.

There is not much known about the plot of the sequel to Deadpool 2 as it is currently in pre-production with Ryan Reynolds set to reprise his role as the title character and Morena Baccarin set to return as his love interest. John Wick co-director David Leitch is set to direct this movie that's expected to once again aim for an R rating.

Reynolds expressed he would love to play Deadpool beyond Deadpool 2 as long as they have good stories mapped out. He also talked about one possibility of a Wolverine/Deadpool movie if he can manage to talk to Hugh Jackman to agree to that since "Logan" is set to be Jackman's last appearance as Wolverine.
