Kingston kicked-off its 2017 lineup with DataTraveler Ultimate GT Flash Drive on Tuesday ahead of CES2017. The said portable storage will able in two capacity variants - 1TB and 2TB. It is backed by 5-year warranty and free technical support. It will hit the stores on February but the price was not disclosed by Kingston.

Kingston's 2TB Storage flash drive hosts USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatibility feature. According to Gadget360, the exterior is made up of a zinc-alloy metal body. This powerful Flash Drive offers excellent read and write performance. Aside from the 2TB feature, it is also compact and sports a 72mm x 26.94mm x 21mm dimensions.

Kingston's General Manager Jean Wong said that through DataTraveler Ultimate GT, their company can empower users to increase their data storage flexibility in a very manageable form factor. He added that DataTraveler Ultimate GT is a great follow up to their previous DataTraveler HyperX Predator 3.0 flash drive that features a maximum 240Mbps read speed and a 160Mbps write speed, 512TB and 1TB of storage capacity, and USB 3.0 performance released in 2013. Thanks to the doubled storage capacity of 2TB, every user can now store and bring with them a larger amount of data effortlessly.

DataTraveler Ultimate GT Flash Drive can store up to 70 hours of 4K video, 256000 24-megapixel images, 166 HD movies, 96 average-sized PC games, and 531,344 MP3 songs. The transfer speed reaches an approximate 5Gbps, BGR India added.

For some DataTraveler Ultimate GT Flash Drive, Kingston named its 2TB portable storage GT because it stands for Generation Terabyte for being the highest storage variant made by the company. Another interesting fact is that this 2TB flash drive has bigger storage that most premium laptops available in the market.

Surely, Kingston has come up with a very impressive product this year with its 2TB flash drive.
