The Sony Xperia X Android smartphone was definitely not a well-received handset, as it lacked some of the tech company's magic features and had lots of bugs that bothered smartphone enthusiasts. However, the Xperia X has become the first smartphone, apart from Nexus and Pixel devices, to receive Android 7.1.1. Nougat update.

Aside from the price of Sony Xperia X, the winning points of the Android smartphone include great build and design, high-resolution audio upscaling, dedicated camera key, and powerful screen technology. Nevertheless, the Sony Xperia X Android 7.1.1 Nougat update has a build number 38.3.A.0.41.

New features of the Sony Xperia X with Android 7.1.1 Nougat update include a restart option on the power button menu, as well as a faster camera start-up time. In spite of that, the Sony Xperia X Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is not available to all owners, according to the Xperia Blog.

Nonetheless, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is only available to owners who have chosen the Experimental update track. In all probability, the update is heading to the Stable track in a couple of weeks, GSM Arena reported.

This is the second update that has been rolled out to Xperia XZ and X Performance smartphones ever since these devices received Nougat. As it is usually the case with OTA, it may take some time for the update notification to pop up on the device's screen.
