The Samurai is one of the best representations of Japan's culture and tradition, as well as its anime, and there is nothing that could better embody both those elements than "Ruroni Kenshin." Another amazing tradition of Japan is the beautiful sumi-e wall art. Now, both these legendary Japanese traditions come together as "Samurai X" characters are drawn as sumi-e wall drawings.

Legendary Swordsman Meets Legendary Art

The three characters from "Ruroni Kenshin" that was drawn as sumi-e wall art are Hajime Saito, Makoto Shishio, and the mainprotagonist Himura Kenshin, and they are all available from Aniplex, Crunchy Roll reported.

These works of art were created by the sumi-e master of Japan himself, Okazu. Some of his notable works of art are his own rendition of the T.M. Reolution single "RAIME!" and his drawings of the "Garo" anime.

The history of the sumi-e art has been around for hundreds of years. It can easily be recognized by the brush strokes on the paper. This beautiful art usually features nature and animals, but "Ruroni Kenshin" characters also fit this artistic style perfectly.

Holiday Gift for $64

These works of art are worth $64.40 or 7,560 yen each, and should be pre-ordered from Aniplex from December 17 to Janaury 9, Rocket News 24, reported. These artworks are placed on a wooden  frame with diameters of 342 millimeters x 465 millimeters, or 13.46 inches x 18.31 inches, which gives them formality and they fit perfectly on a wall.

Meanwhile, "Ruroni Kenshin" is created by Nobuhiro Watsuki. And the characters in the sumi-e art are drawn in their own swordsmanship style. Kenshin is shown in Hiten Mitsurugi style, which is a swordsman technique that lets him defeat multiple enemies in one move. Saito is in his classic Gatostu style, while Shishio is simply seated. Shishio, which is one of the most formidable opponents of Kenshin is probably seated after defeating all his enemies in battle.

For people who loves "Samurai X" and works of art, then this could easily be one of the best late holiday gift.
