There has been no plot announced for "The Avengers: Infinity War" but signs point to Iron Man meeting his demise in the film. It could be a risky move for Marvel because Tony Stark is one of its most charismatic characters and doing so will shock comic book fans.

However, it doesn't mean Iron Man will be killed but it could mean he will get thrown out of the group. One possible angle is the Tony Stark-Steve Rogers riff. Stark is not in good terms with Captain America based on their last encounter. His antagonist stance can change the entire plot when he finally determines his stand. 

According to Movie Pilot, "The Avengers: Infinity War" has too many new characters to develop since it has as much as 64 heroes. It would only make sense to get rid of one of the older ones. 

In a related news, Cinema Blend reports that "The Avengers: Infinity War" will have Thanos as the main antagonist. He was first seen in the mid-credits sequence of "The Avenges: Age of Ultron." His mission is to pursue all of the Infinity Stones in the hopes of assembling them in the Infinity Gauntlet, which will see him gain the powers of an unstoppable being. It would then be up to the Avengers to try and stop him.

"The Avengers: Infinity War" is expected to have an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Dave Bautista as Drax. Joe Russo and Anthony Russo will be directing the movie while Jack Kirby and Christopher Markus will be writing the script.
