Marvel Studios is up with the challenge hoisting high its female-led super hero "Captain Marvel" in a movie set to hit theaters on March 8, 2019. Although, it is still a very long wait for Marvel fans to see the movie but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that it will have a real origin story following Scott Dickinson's "Doctor Strange."

"Captain Marvel," which is part of Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is originally slated to be released on July 6, 2018. However, due to project additions like "Spider-Man" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe it landed with the March 8, 2019 schedule, Cinema Blend reported.

Movie writers are quite skeptical about the schedule as it also lands together with "Avengers: Infinity War" movies on May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019. Reports claimed that "Captain Marvel" might have difficulty catching up with these movies and would be left struggling herself up.

Carol Danvers, aka "Captain Marvel" will be played by Brie Larson. Since it is an origin story, it will focus on Danver as a powerless US Air Force pilot who got super powers when an ancient fused her DNA with Kree DNA. Screen writer Nicole Perlman stressed that if she had her way she would deviate "Captain Marvel" from an origin story since her story is very reminiscent of "Green Lantern's," Digital Spy has learned.

Sources added that "Captain Marvel" actually sits an interesting position in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since she is both have ties to Earthbound world and the universe beyond the stars. With this flexibility of "Captain Marvel's" character and power, movie news writers are positive that she will be taking care of threats on Earth in future movies and jet off to the stars the next to stop an intergalactic crisis.

Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe film schedules reported by Heavy are as follows: "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vo. 2" on May 5, 2017; "Spider-Man: Homecoming" on July 7, 2017; "Thor: Ragnarok," Nov. 3, 2017; "Black Panther," Feb. 16, 2018; "Avengers: Infinity War," May 4, 2018; "Ant-Man and the Wasp," July 6, 2019; "Captain Marvel," March 8, 2019; "Untitled Avengers Sequel," May 3, 2019, and "Spider-Man: Homecoming 2" on July 5, 2019.
