Dell's recently unveiled XPS 13 2-in-1 hybrid may be the laptop that will tailor to your needs. The laptop was announced at the kickoff date of the CES 2017, which is taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada to introduce the latest developments in technology.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 carries the familiar XPS design, but with a 360-degree hinge added to it so it can transform into a tablet or a tent aside from its more conventional laptop appearance. It offers two different touch display options: a standard 1930 x 1080 full HD display and an UltraSharp 3200 x 1800 Quad HD+ panel, ZD Net reported.

Dell believes that the XPS 13 2-in-1 is the "smallest 13-inch 2-in-1 device on the planet." Engineers ensured that the laptop is 40 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than one of its biggest competitors, Microsoft's Surface Book.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 runs using either a 3.2GHz Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor or a 3.6GHz Intel Core i7-7Y75 processor. Both of these processors are 7th-generation Kaby Lake silicon and are equipped with Intel's HD Graphics 615. The laptop has a fanless design.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 has three RAM options: 4GB, 8GB and 16GB dual-channel LPDDR3. The hybrid laptop can run for up to 15 hours on a single charge even with the full HD display thanks to its 46WHr pack. Storage options, meanwhile, have the basic 128GB SATA and 1TB PCIe SSD with Intel RST.

Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a webcam, a Thunderbolt 3 port, microSD card reader, display port, multiple USB Type-C ports and a fingerprint reader with Windows Hello-complaint. The XPS 13 2-in-1 also comes with accessories - the Dell Hybrid Adapter plus Power Bank and the Dell USB Type C to HDMI/VGA/Ethernet/USB 3.0 adapter. The former combines the force of a 45W charger and 12800 mAh power bank, while the latter is perfect for when the user needs more ports to use.

Aside from these, Dell's new device is equipped with temperature sensors that prevent the laptop from overheating. When the hybrid laptop's temperature gets too hot, the sensors will alert it to decrease the CPU's power so overheating can be avoided, according to Ars Technica.
