Xbox Project Scorpio is slated to roll out in Holiday 2017, but speculations about the capabilities of the gaming console have continued on ever since it was announced at E3 2016. With Xbox Scorpio's six Teraflops of power, eight central processing unit (CPU) cores and a 320-GB memory bandwidth, Microsoft's upcoming gaming system promises to be the most efficient and powerful device for true 4K gaming.

The upcoming Xbox Project Scorpio may be equipped with Microsoft's previous project with VR, HoloLens. The gaming console aims for a more immersive gameplay with its high-end functionalities and the console's rumored virtual reality (VR) compatibility.

In a Twitter post of Xbox exec Aaron Greenberg, an interesting post that tells game enthusiasts two things, Microsoft is extremely confident in Xbox Scorpio, and the console will meet its Holiday 2017 release. Greenberg has recently been quite vocal about the Xbox Project Scorpio, claiming that the gaming system will provide a new era of 4K gaming.

The Xbox Project Scorpio is also expected to be compatible with Xbox One video games, although there are rumors that this may not apply to all the video games. As for Xbox Project Scorpio's price tag, Microsoft may be battling the console out with other upcoming gaming systems, which has an estimated price of $399. The price of the Xbox Project Scorpio may well be the lowest, most reasonable price a high-end gaming system can sell for, Games Industry reported.

Xbox Head Phil Spencer stated that they aim for a console price point with Xbox Scorpio, and the company is not interested in competing with other high-end consoles in terms of raw power. Microsoft aimed to design a platform with more balanced specs rather than focusing on just one game-enhancing component of the console.

Although the Xbox Project Scorpio is slated to hit the market around the holidays in 2017, nevertheless, the tech giant has yet to announce a specific release date for the upcoming high-end gaming system.
