Lenovo ThinkPad Docks is making it easy for multi-port owners to transport and operate the device using singular system loop. The ThinkPad Docks is expected to minimize the workload of workers in their workstations and personal spaces.

Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock

Lenovo announced that the ThinkPad Docks will allow users to connect a maximum of three displays to the Thunderbolt 3 dock, which two will come from the dual DisplayPort streams, while the other will be connected to an extra output, MacRumors reports. Lenovo adds that one display can get up to a 3840x2160 resolution at 60Hz. Meanwhile, the other two displays will sport the same resolution at 30Hz.

The ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock includes two DisplayPort ports, HDMI, VGA, five USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, a headphone jack, and a Thunderbolt 3 port over USB-C. It supports up to three displays and costs $279.99.

Meanwhile, the USB-C dock sports the same number of ports and a seeming resemblance with the Thunderbolt 3 version. Lenovo has included a USB-C port, three USB-A 3.0 ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort alternatives, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA, and a headphone jack. A 3840 x 2160 resolution display can be derived at 30Hz. The USB-C dock can also power two displays with 1920x1080 resolution at 60 Hz.

The ThinkPad USB-C Dock has two DisplayPort outputs, three USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB Type-C port, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA, and a headphone jack. This one can power up to two displays and sells at $199.99.

Power Information

According to The Verge, Both ThinkPad docks come with separate power supplies to power a laptop. The Thunderbolt dock comes with a 135W adapter plus up to 65W of power to a connected laptop. While the USB-C dock has a 90W power adapter plus up to 60W of power to a connected laptop.
