Although the 2016 holiday season is almost over, there are still some nice deals that a person can take advantage of if they are looking for a new smartphone. In particular, if a person is planning to purchase a Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge with monthly plans on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, that person may want to buy the handset through Best Buy.

According to Best Buy, they are currently offering a free 256 GB memory card to tech fans who are purchasing and activating any of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones on AT&T Next, Verizon Device Payment, Sprint 24-Month Installment, or with 2-year agreements.

The exclusive Galaxy S7 Active on AT&T is also included in the deal. However, smartphones activated on T-Mobile are not. The free 256 GB memory card that Best Buy is giving away is a Samsung EVO+ microSDXC UHS-I Class 10 card that has a regular price of $249.99. Wherein, getting the free 256 GB memory card is not something that a person can usually do.

Nonetheless, Best Buy does not mention as to when the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge deal will expire, but tech enthusiasts assume the offer is going to last at least a few days.

On the other hand, a number of Samsung Galaxy S7 owners reported that the camera lens of their handset is shattering without any actual impact. In spite of that, Samsung appears to be refusing to cover such issues under its warranty.

One such incident happened on Dec. 28, but a search on Google found out several results as far back as March, shortly after the Samsung Galaxy S7 was launched. The user forums of Samsung have several posts from affected customers as well. Samsung insisted that the lens can only break under physical stress, and charging Galaxy S7 users for a $70 repair, Consumerist reported.
